The Victoria Falls at the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe are a spectacular sight, and should be considered as a vacation destination once in your life. Most travelers arrive on a flight to Livingstone from Johannesberg. These falls have the largest volume of water of any falls in the world during the peak months from late April through June. This volume drops to almost nothing in December (nearly dry!). The brave-of-heart can experience the world's highest bungy jump off the Victoria Falls bridge above the whirlpool. A dinner cruise on the Zambezi river offers unforgettable views of elephants crossing the river to the island, as well as of the southern milky way. It looks like a cloud in the sky, with the southern cross beaming bright. The spectacular wildlife park of Chobe National Park in Botswana is a day trip from Victoria Falls ... don't go to Victoria Falls without planning a day trip to Chobe.
